How much Marrakech costs us for a weekend

Street of Marrakech

If you are planning to go to Marrakech for the first time and over a weekend, this might give you an idea how much it will cost. We were travelling for 4 days from thursday to Sunday and only spent 2 full days in the city ( we arrived in the evening and flight back in early in the morning)

P.S : We were travelling as a couple and we were not backpacking

HOTEL

4 days 3 nights : 216€ + 15€ tax for the whole stay (for 2 person)

We stayed in Riad De Vinci located 5 minutes walking from the Souk. We love the location because it's hustle free. While the Souk or Place Jemaa el Fna is fascinating, seeing a lot of crowd and buyers when stepping in or out of our hotel is not what we prefer.

Riad Marrakech

TRANSPORTATION

We walked our way in and out of Medina.

The only time we took a car is for the transfer to and from airport to our Riad that costs us 30 Euros in total.

MUSEUMS AND SIGHTSEEING

Most of the entrance fee in Marrakech is around 70 DH.

In total we paid 370 DH/ Person (around 35 Euros) to visit Jardin Majorelle, Yves St. Laurent Museum, Berber Museum, Palais Bahia, Saadian Tombs and Secret garden.

FOOD

We went to restaurants for 5 times in Marrakech.

The total costs us 1735 DH ( around 162 Euros in total for two people)

We dined one time in our Riad, once in Terasse des Epices (which is the most expensive of all - 635 DH for two plates, two glasses of wine, 1 appetizer and 1 dessert), ate in Cafe Majorelle and two random restaurants.

In general tea costs 20 DH, jus 30 to 60 DH, main course costs around 80 to 160 DH.

SHOPPING

I spent 1320 DH (around 120 Euros) chasing boheme in Marrakech and honestly, my heart is full.

From wool cushions, natural cosmetics from clay, brass mirrors, wicker basket to wall decoration, my luggage is full of happy memories.

SPA

We were lucky that our Riad has a really nice spa spot. I opted for an hour relaxation massage and paid 280 DH (26 Euros)

Enjoy Marrakech !
